Apple Pie for Dogs!
I love the fall because that means it’s time to bake all the pies. My favorite is the one that I used to bake with my mom when I was a kid. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to find a recipe for an apple pie for dogs! Here’s the link to the original recipe.
Have you ever had one of those moments when you can imagine the outcome so clearly that when it doesn’t happen that way you feel like a deflated balloon? We had a pretty funny thing happen to us recently with Zimi that made me feel like a balloon.
Last winter Zimi slightly tore her ACL playing in the snow. She’ll get better and then play a little too hard and she’ll injure her knee again. Shalom and I noticed that jumping on the bed seems to really be ruining her progress at getting better. One night I was struck by inspiration! I would buy stairs for Zimi. She would love them because she would know I lovingly bought her this object to improve her life. I bet that you can guess that she HATED it! Was terrified of the stairs. But of course I’m stubborn, so I was not moving those stairs. So they stayed at the foot of our bed and we tripped over them for the first month, but we got used to it.
One day I’m cleaning up after dinner and I hear a strange noise in the bedroom. It almost sounded like a dog using the stairs that we bought her. But that can’t be true. She hates the stairs. She would literally tremble when I would encourage her to use them. I look in the bedroom and there she is, laying at the top of the stairs on the bed. All I could think was this little poop has been waking me up in the middle of the night to pick her up and put her on the bed and she’s been using the stairs behind our back this whole time!
My dog is a diva. Do you have any stories like this? What is your dog a diva about?
